Hi, I’m Larissa!
I'm a London-based illustrator, product developer, and creative systems explorer.
For more than a decade, my work has been rooted in design and storytelling. I received a BA in Fashion Design and Development from the London College of Fashion in 2009 and went on to work in esteemed fashion house, before building my own freelance practice in 2021. Since then, I've collaborated with clients worldwide across apparel, textiles, home goods, gifting, and stationery—always with a focus on designing and creating products that bring a sense of comfort, joy, and everyday beauty.
After launching my independent illustration and licensing practice, I spent years creating work I loved—nostalgic, playful illustrations inspired by food culture, everyday rituals, and storytelling. But the business side? That nearly broke me. The constant pricing anxiety, the admin overwhelm, the feeling that I was always behind.
When my second child arrived, something had to change.
But creativity doesn't stand still, and this year I decided to take some time to explore new creative directions.
I'm now spending 12 weeks building AI-powered tools and workflows specifically for creative professionals who are brilliant at their craft but exhausted by the business side. Think: pricing calculators that don't make you cry, workflow templates that actually work with limited time, planning tools for parents juggling nap schedules and client deadlines.
I'm documenting the entire process on Substack—the experiments, the failures, the small wins. Because I suspect I'm not the only creative trying to figure out how to build something sustainable without sacrificing everything else.
This isn't about giving up on illustration. It's about building systems that let me (and other creatives like me) actually enjoy the work without drowning in everything around it.
